Stock futures edged higher early Thursday, with the S&P 500 still hovering just below its all-time high.
The benchmark index has climbed more than 22% since bottoming out in April during the height of the U.S. tariff tensions. With trade concerns easing, there’s some skepticism on the Street about whether the recent rally has staying power.
Geopolitical tensions in the Middle East also appeared to cool after President Trump noted on Tuesday that a ceasefire between Israel and Iran was in place.
It was a notably quiet session across the board yesterday — volatility and skew were largely unchanged. On the economic front, investors are eyeing weekly jobless claims data, which is slated for release at 8:30 a.m. ET on Thursday.
