Macro Viewpoint
Stocks edged slightly higher as market participants looked ahead to developments in trade talks and key updates on the U.S. economy.
In addition to the flood of corporate results due this week, attention remains focused on incoming economic data that could shed light on the strength of the U.S. economy and the likelihood of future interest rate cuts by the Federal Reserve.
Market conditions have generally stabilised following the sharp swings triggered by the Trump administration's tariff announcements on April 2.
So far this earnings season, over 36% of S&P 500 companies have reported results, with approximately 73% surpassing Wall Street expectations.
Prior Session Deep Dive
Any success you’ll have as a day-trader will depend on how you interpret what the market is doing and your readiness to adjust your strategy and bias at a moment’s notice.
The reason we do daily deep dives of the prior session for our Subscribers is to put them under the driver’s seat and make them learn how to read markets.
The three references you see on the candlestick side of the picture above are the ones we shared yesterday with our Subscribers. You will have a hard time trying to pick 3 more significant levels a day after the fact.
How could we possibly knew that the absolute top was at 5579 and how it could offer a 86-point rejection without putting any support until all the way towards 5489 which would mean the market had a lot of room to break? We didn’t.
There is no guarantee something will happen; we just use statistics and facts to provide a higher probabilistic framework so we’re ready for it. It’s easier to react to something when you’ve already thought about it, right?
Field Of Vision
Understanding what the market is doing as the session begins, let alone hours before the fact, comes with experience. You won’t read any book and suddenly be able to read what’s happening.
By looking at the relation of time/price/value through market profiling and order flow, you’re looking at what the market did at any given point in time, how many contracts traded there, and how significant any level was.
We try to communicate all of this market-generated information on a daily basis so you can learn real auctionable concepts, in the real markets, with before and after-the-fact results.
There are no “ill-advised” or cult-based strategies invented by some furu YouTuber here. This is, in all its sense, what literally happened, and all of our analysis breakdowns are based on everything we’ve shared before the fact.
