Stocks edged higher after a strong outlook from the largest U.S. memory-chip maker helped steady markets, easing a tech-led pullback on a packed day for economic data and central bank updates.

Thursday’s focus includes U.S. November inflation figures, alongside interest-rate decisions from the European Central Bank and the Bank of England.

We’re heading into a historically strong seasonal window starting next week.

The S&P 500 has averaged a 1.98% gain from December 1 to 31, with 1.77% of that coming between December 17 and year-end. The one- and two-week periods starting December 24 rank in the 96th percentile for performance
