In early trading, U.S. stock index futures climbed as investors looked for clues regarding the Federal Reserve's policy direction while keeping an eye out for potential developments on tariffs.
Uncertainty surrounding the Fed’s rate-cut trajectory this year was fueled by Fed Chair Jerome Powell’s hawkish remarks during his semi-annual testimony to Congress, as well as last week’s consumer and producer price data.
