Macro Viewpoint
S&P 500 futures were mostly flat after the index paused its four-day winning streak. A recent drop in US Treasuries has dampened risk appetite, as investors weigh the pace of potential monetary easing following Wednesday’s Fed meeting.
For now, all eyes remain on the Fed’s decision and its outlook for 2026. Markets are currently pricing in an 89.4% probability of a 25 basis point rate cut this week.
Economic data scheduled for later Tuesday, including the Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey, will provide additional context ahead of the announcement.
